Nexus Xifos

Nexus, being Airaxen’s other half shares the same general appearance as he does. However there are a few differences when Nexus is in control of the body. His hair becomes much more wild and untamed in nature, bangs of spiked hair standing at all angles. Both eyes turn a deep blood red and over Nexus’ face a set of three golden triangular markings appear.

Nexus, despite his instinct to kill and destroy, has moved beyond that. After an encounter with Jason Aves, Nexus quickly changed his ways. With a new understanding of sorrow, despair, guilt and regret, Nexus also gained an understanding of the human psyche, being able to appreciate the concept of mercy, kindness, duty and possibly even love.

Little is truly known about Nexus and his inner workings, but despite any first impression he gives, Nexus has an unbreakable vow to redeem himself for every single death he committed. And in doing so, has sworn to never take another life no matter what the cost, but it doesn’t mean he wouldn’t make his wrath known if something got in his way.

Nexus for the most part is a dormant entity in the mind he shares with Airaxen. But it is a fact that does not bother him in the slightest, he is content with watching the world go past. Nexus appears detached from the world, however he does appear at times for various reasons. To have fun and indulge in the world’s luxuries or, to bring forth pain and suffering for something he has witnessed. Such times are few and far between, but Nexus can not stand to see anyone he cares for to be attacked, and he is powerful when enraged. Strangely, Airaxen does not seem to possess the entire control and prowess that Nexus has for battle and in using the power of the crystals they carry.

The titles of hero or villain do not apply to Nexus, he does not see himself as either, he wishes to enjoy himself in life. Although…It could just possibly be because he does not wish to think of the past and of himself, what lies in the recesses of memory are not always held closely to one’s heart.

As an interesting side note, Nexus seems to have developed a deep fondness for Tikai, the exact reasoning is unknown, and neither are his intentions.

Nexus continues to keep a careful eye on his host, Airaxen. And much to his concern he is worried about the consequences of Airaxen’s behavior. He is acutely aware of where Airaxen is heading, and thus Nexus prepares for the worst case scenario.
