Airaxen Aegis

Airaxen is a fairly tall (6 feet) thinly built man, many times jested at because of his ‘feminine’ frame. His hair is silver in color, fairly long, his bangs able to reach down to his neck, and his hair is also spiked in nature. Airaxen’s eye color is interesting to say the least, his left eye is a deep crimson red while his left eye is captivating royal blue. The albino’s taste in dress is rather simple and bland, if it works, then it is sufficient. For the most part it doesn’t matter since he adorns himself in armor. At first a ruby red armor with golden highlights, and later on with a plate of shining silver armor. However, it is to be noted that Airaxen’s appearance changes as spontaneously as his personality, and at times it is rare to see him in his ‘normal’ form.

Airaxen, or, for a time, model MkrX is an artificial life, created by Dimitri in his Mkr Series four years ago. Airaxen’s body is composed of 76% machine components, 20% human DNA, and 4% hawk DNA. However, even with just 20% of his body containing human organic material, he still possesses a human brain. But right along side of it is the mechanical mind that Dimitri installed, this confliction between minds has also led Airaxen to have two different personalities. One is that of himself, Airaxen, and the other is his ‘darker’ half, Nexus. But it is arguable that Nexus is not as evil as he might come off to be at first, and in fact be more gentle than Airaxen. The two minds do not coexist well, Airaxen shuts off his other mind, Nexus from controlling the body. However, if the situation calls for it, Nexus will force his way into control to do what he needs to do, and if that happens, Airaxen will not be able to stop it.

Airaxen is unaware of the full events of his past, and only is aware of the vague details, his existence as a hybrid, and a feeling that he needed to redeem himself for some actions in the past. But Nexus is completely aware of the past, a very bloody past it was.

Airaxen was originally created by Dimitri to be a weapon of mass destruction, and it is unquestionable at the power Airaxen can wield. His original purpose was to terraform the surface of the planet Earth, in the process the destruction of the human race was one of the first goals to accomplish. Airaxen’s purpose was to accomplish just that. With brutal efficiency he proved he could do the deed indefinitely. In a short amount of time he had reduced the population of a large city to nothing but pints of blood. Originally the programming Dimitri bestowed unto Airaxen worked, however with a fated encounter with Jason Aves, it all came undone. Airaxen’s eyes were opened to the full extent of the pain and suffering he caused, and soon he too felt that pain and suffering. In the end the suffering only increased as he watched the strange man die before him, having taken a bullet for Airaxen instead of the albino. At the time he nearly committed suicide because of the realization, but instead he vowed to repent for what he did, by destroying the source of the problem.

Airaxen ventured back to the lab where he was created, and hastily destroyed the lab, throwing away the title of MkrX given to him by Dimitri, and taking the name of Airaxen from Jason Aves, although ultimately this mechanical mind would change it to Nexus in the future. After dealing with Dimitri, he encountered his ‘older brother’, Sonaris. Enraged by the deed Airaxen committed, Sonaris quickly dispatched of his renegade sibling and sent him hurtling off into the distance.

There, as Airaxen lay unconscious his organic mind awoke from its dormant state, it would be that personality that would be known as Airaxen. and when realizing what had transpired, went into a state of shock. He quickly shut his memories off, not wanting to live with the guilt, and neither did Nexus for that matter. Despite the forced amnesia, the desire to repent still remained in Airaxen’s mind. So he decided to do what he thought would accomplish the task, to play hero for awhile, until he had repented. But who determines when a man has repented for what he’s done is almost impossible to say. Confused, lost, perhaps like many in this world, Airaxen is a person that is an enigma within itself. There are no easy ways to define him as a person, for this reason, Airaxen himself does not know who he is, what he desires, how to get it, he perhaps is only sure that he is a perpetual sinner, perhaps he is, maybe not. Wandering forever trying to find himself in the darkness he find himself in.

In recent times, Airaxen has become much more displaced. Not only in the world, but his perceptions of himself have also become much more fragmented. Lately Airaxen has been experiencing strange episodes of deranged behavior that he is not fully aware of. His episodes have led those around him to treat him with extreme caution, Airaxen has suddenly become a liability, and he is aware of it.
